About Judith Castillo
Training and Specialties
Hi, I’m Judith! I enjoy working with people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life. I am trained in various modalities including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Seeking Safety, and Gottman Method Level 1.
I graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I have my bachelor’s degree in Human Biology with a minor in Biblical Studies from Biola University.
My Approach
As a therapist, I think it’s important to look at the whole person from a bio-psycho-social-spiritual perspective. As humans we are multifaceted, so healing should involve all the important aspects of ourselves. Often times, our bodies can hold on to stress that we are not aware of, which is why body awareness is emphasized as an important aspect in healing from trauma and stress.
With the exposure I have to various modalities, I tailor my therapeutic approach to fit my clients’ needs and preferences to help them meet their goals.
When I’m Not Doing Therapy
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my pups, learning about all sorts of subjects, and lifting weights.
