About Mary Frances Dunlap

Training and Specialties

Hi, I’m Mary Frances. I help adolescents and adults manage stress and anxiety, navigate life transitions, employ healthy boundaries, and effectively communicate their needs and desires.

As clients desire, I welcome the integration of the Christian narrative, art activities, and mindfulness exercises into our time together.

I am a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary (M.S., Marriage and Family Therapy) and an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist.

Prior studies took me to the University of St. Andrews (M.Litt., Theology, Imagination, and the Arts), Rhodes College (B.A., Political Science), and the Trinity Forum Academy.

My Mission

Living in a world as beautiful and broken as ours is not easy, often messy, and sometimes involves unexpected twists and turns.

I have come to believe that the hard work that invites fresh hope, perseverance, and lasting change takes place as we are deeply seen, honored, and known in relationships of trust and vulnerability.

As a therapist, it is my joy to bear witness to the stories my clients are living, as we consider together how they can make sense of the past and live into the future with greater freedom.

When I’m Not Doing Therapy

I enjoy building Lego towers with my three nephews, visiting the Pacific Ocean, and riding my bicycle (almost) anywhere I can.
